Interior decorating is purely aesthetic and involves wall, floor & ceiling finishes, upholstered and non-upholstered furnishings, lighting, and accessories, and often combines the use of new and existing items. This service is most often provided in conjunction with the production and use of floor plans, furniture plans, elevations and design detail sketches as well as material samples of all kinds. From time to time, the implementation of this service requires the use of a handyman or sub-contractor such as an electrician, plumber, painter or carpenter.
Interior Decorating Services are also used for the purpose of room make-overs and real-estate staging, both of which can utilize the home-owners existing furniture and accessories. Unfurnished properties are staged with rented furniture and accessories. These services are accompanied by a written game-plan enabling the DIY home-owner to implement many of the changes themselves.
